THESE jeans are simply not your average. Parker Smith’s Jeans fit is insanely snug and are beyond comfortable. Best of all, their pants lift your booty like you cannot imagine, uhm THANK YOU! This week, I sported the Shark Bite in Ventura (which is PERFECTLY cropped for my 5’2″ self) and the Bombshell Straight in Stallion (And for those, I did have to snip-snip a tad at the bottom).

I can’t stress enough how buttery soft they are, how wearable they are and how flattering they are. My friend at Parker Smith also highlighted the fact they can be washed and tumbled dry while keeping their shape AND color. SCORE.

Je T’aime Paris

Traveling to Europe has been a dream of mine ever since I could remember, and this summer, I had the opportunity to finally go. When traveling in Europe, I wanted to visit all of the many tourist attractions without looking like a tourist (or looking lost for that matter). Meaning, no athleisure and sportswear but chic (and most importantly, comfy) flats, a blazer that takes me from day to night and the perfect black mini to style.

The Springs

DTLA lovers, look no further than this hot spot that serves up brunch (+ other daily treats) AND yoga. Yes, it’s true. The Springs has a yoga studio and a wellness center in the back and a kitchen and juice bar in the front. Spacious and not to mention has free parking (which is a rarity anywhere in LA), this space is a gem and the perfect place to grab a book and take a breather in the midst of the bustling city.

We indulged in everything from fruit-filled cocktails to a watching a special performance by the Aqualilies. After a bit of fun under the sun, I’d probably have to say that secretly one of my favorite parts of the event was discovering a blackberry flatbread that was TO DIE FOR…ingredients above 😉

Hidden in the middle of a corporate landscape lies this serene private museum namely the Noguchi Garden. Head here in the early evening to take advantage of the angles of the sunset falling on the sleek lines and corners of this picture perfect space.

Apartment by the line

Happy first day of Spring! To start this new season, I took a short trip down to SoHo to the Apartment by the Line in hopes to find some major interior design inspiration. Spring prompts us to not only do some spring cleaning in our homes and apartments but to do a bit of re-design to add a fresh new flavor to our surroundings.

Lusting over everything from their luxurious leather chairs with fur details to their clawfoot tub to their IMPECCABLE walk in closet with nothing but designer duds from Altuzarra, Oliver Peoples & Common Projects and more, it was truly every fashion-savvy girl’s dream.

The Apartment by the Line has most definitely become my favorite conceptual design space and I highly recommend stopping by for a visit if ever in the SoHo area.

THE BOWL

Veggie-Quinoa-Breakfast-Bowl

Health has a new shape and it’s round in form. With juice fads and crazy diets, it’s impossible to know what’s truly healthy or what is substantially necessary for your diet. What I do know however is how fulfilling it is to create something with little time and ease and in a way that doesn’t break the bank. Stay tuned for more posts about my favorite bowls; something sweet and savory for everyone.

Today’s bowl: Veggie Quinoa Breakfast Bowl

yield: 1 serving

1/2 cup of quinoa, rinsed
1/2 cup of milk
1/2 cup of water
broccoli, cut into florets
mushrooms, sliced
cheddar cheese, grated
salt & pepper, to taste
1 egg
Heat a little bit of olive oil in a pan over medium high. Add broccoli and mushrooms, and stir-fry until cooked (around 5 minutes). Remove from heat and set aside.

Combine milk, water, and quinoa in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Simmer, stirring regularly*, until most of the liquid has been absorbed.

Add vegetables, cheese, and salt & pepper to the pot of quinoa and stir to combine. Cover and set aside.

Fry a sunny side–up egg.

Transfer the quinoa to a bowl, then top with the egg.
