THESE jeans are simply not your average. Parker Smith’s Jeans fit is insanely snug and are beyond comfortable. Best of all, their pants lift your booty like you cannot imagine, uhm THANK YOU! This week, I sported the Shark Bite in Ventura (which is PERFECTLY cropped for my 5’2″ self) and the Bombshell Straight in Stallion (And for those, I did have to snip-snip a tad at the bottom).
I can’t stress enough how buttery soft they are, how wearable they are and how flattering they are. My friend at Parker Smith also highlighted the fact they can be washed and tumbled dry while keeping their shape AND color. SCORE.
Check out a few of my favorite Parker Smith styles for Fall.
Traveling to Europe has been a dream of mine ever since I could remember, and this summer, I had the opportunity to finally go. When traveling in Europe, I wanted to visit all of the many tourist attractions without looking like a tourist (or looking lost for that matter). Meaning, no athleisure and sportswear but chic (and most importantly, comfy) flats, a blazer that takes me from day to night and the perfect black mini to style.
Working in downtown LA has it’s perks – for one, fantastic food options and most importantly, the beauty of the city architecture. Catch me on the corner of Grand and 6th rocking my favorite Citizens of Humanity Jumpsuit.
The perfect Sunday consisted of a decadent brunch and all things vintage shopping. To fuel up for the day with the ladies, we took quick detour to Sqirl, located in Silverlake, CA. This place is fan-tas-tic! No wonder there’s always a line out the door for this vegan-friendly restaurant. They cook up a mean Pesto Rice Bowl (pictured) as well as rich pastries, lattes and a variety of toasts, avocado toast included. The bowl was devoured before I had a moment to breathe and needless to say, I’ll be back (too) soon.
Hidden in the middle of a corporate landscape lies this serene private museum namely the Noguchi Garden. Head here in the early evening to take advantage of the angles of the sunset falling on the sleek lines and corners of this picture perfect space.
Health has a new shape and it’s round in form. With juice fads and crazy diets, it’s impossible to know what’s truly healthy or what is substantially necessary for your diet. What I do know however is how fulfilling it is to create something with little time and ease and in a way that doesn’t break the bank. Stay tuned for more posts about my favorite bowls; something sweet and savory for everyone.
Today’s bowl: Veggie Quinoa Breakfast Bowl
yield: 1 serving
1/2 cup of quinoa, rinsed
1/2 cup of milk
1/2 cup of water
broccoli, cut into florets
cheddar cheese, grated
salt & pepper, to taste
Heat a little bit of olive oil in a pan over medium high. Add broccoli and mushrooms, and stir-fry until cooked (around 5 minutes). Remove from heat and set aside.
Combine milk, water, and quinoa in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Simmer, stirring regularly*, until most of the liquid has been absorbed.
Add vegetables, cheese, and salt & pepper to the pot of quinoa and stir to combine. Cover and set aside.
Fry a sunny side–up egg.
Transfer the quinoa to a bowl, then top with the egg.
After being MIA from my blog for some months, inspiration continued to stir and couldn’t help but stay away for much longer. Sunday morning was spent perusing IKEA for some necessary room updates. Can you believe I’ve gone without a mirror in my room for about half-a-year now?!
Sporting my weekend simpleton attire, dressed in Levi’s, Zara, and H&M, it was the start of a very productive morning!
Top: Vince Dolman Little Boy Tee
Jacket: H&M Biker Jacket
Denim: Levi’s High Waisted Denim
Shoes: Zara Pointed Vamp Shoe
Black and gold always make an outfit look put together. Whipping out the shorts and t-shirt on a Sunday with minimalistic detailing allow you to continue your lazy Sunday rituals.
