To wrap up 2014, I’ve made a compilation of my top 3 favorite trends of the year. Looking back, these were my favorite in terms of practicality, functionality and overall just fun. What were your favorite trends of the year?
Oversized everything (via Celine)
There’s nothing better than feeling comfortable in oversized sweaters, coats, pants more all throughout the year. Bring on the holiday feasts!
A hint of Western (via Kenneth Cole)
We tip our hats to KCole for their western inspired attire as the clothes inspire us to pair workwear with weekend wear in a fun, relaxed, yet edgy way.
Sneakers & Sportswear (via multiple designers)
Sneakers & Sportswear practically go hand in hand. This year was major in terms of trading in your heels for a pair of slip on’s or snagging the newest pair of Nike’s or Adidas as part of the everyday attire. (I opt for a more minimalist look, that of Common Projects) Thankful for this trend as a NY resident!
Additionally, the sportswear trend took off this year. From Net-a-porter’s launch of Net-a-sporter to Alexander Wang’s H&M collab, this is only the beginning of bringing complete functionality to our everyday lives and wardrobes.

Living on the East Coast brings traveling to many of the iconic states something of a breeze. Hop on a train and you’re at your travel destination within hours. DC was #1 on my list of East Coast destinations and I was in constant awe of the city’s deep history and amazed by its cleanliness. Above are scenes from my memorable visit.

With the holiday season right around the corner, festive attire comes to mind. Son Jung Wan does this better than anyone with her frill seeking cuts, color palette and sequins. Minimalist in nature as always, I opted for one of her chic low cut structured vneck dresses. View her lookbook for major holiday attire inspiration here.
My obsession with Ji Oh’s Fall collection continues with yet another perfectly chunky knit. Barely acclimating to this east coast climate, this knit works with ease to keep me warm & snug.

Etienne Aigner revealed their Spring ’15 collection with a heavy emphasis on a palette of prarie blue, burnt orange and desert sand colors. Additionally, their lust worthy RTW pieces contained soft silhouettes for elegant dressing primarily for functionality and elegance, perfect for the everyday woman.
Drawn to their innovative shoes and more- than practical handbags, their price point for everything was just to good to be true!

This month marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month and what better to support a brand who recognizes this cause as well as so many others such as AIDS/HIV, Alzheimers, Diabetes & Melanoma to name a few!
Angela & Roi Lee began this philanthropic brand in hopes to combine the beauty of minimalism as well as defining their brand with the aspect of raising money for charity.
The brand Angela & Roi have beautifully curated handbags and backpacks of a vast variety of shapes and sizes made with vegan leather and all things durable for a competitive price. Shop by color/ cause and the brand will donate a portion of the money to increase awareness.

Just wrapped up my second week here at Helmut Lang and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of this team. The office is filled with an abundance of black, white and minimalist outfits with plush angora knits with some great leather action under over sized and billowing tops and tees. These women truly know the meaning of style with edge, durability and practicality!
