The Japanese culture is known for, yes, not only their sushi, but their amazing culture as well. Although I cannot say I know much of the culture myself, being Japanese-American, I do enjoy the art and craft of making origami, or cranes to be specific. It’s something I learned as a child and am so glad to be putting my origami skills to use today. This New Years, me and my cousins came together to make 90 cranes for my grandmother’s birthday. Although the culture is to make 1000 cranes for good luck, we decided to do a goal that was a little more within reach, about 15 cranes each. Nevertheless, we hope this brings her good fortune for her healthy years to come!
